Hotwire launches “Make it a Quickie” PR campaign

According to a recent survey by Hotwire, nearly all Americans (90%) prefer short getaways of three nights or less vs. a longer vacation, but it’s Millennials in particular who are fueling the dramatic rise of the last-minute, quick getaway trend, with a whopping 84% booking a trip one week or less out from their departure day.

 

To encourage more Americans to “Make it a Quickie,” (getaway, that is!) Hotwire released an index of America’s Best Cities for a Quickie. They analyzed more than 10,000 data points across 250 cities weighing factors important to a spontaneous, 2-3 night “quickie” trip which include: bang for your buck, ease of arrival, and things to do. In collaboration with many of their top 40 destinations, they also created custom 72-hour itineraries to help guide travelers to the most unexpected must-sees and must do’s in each city.
