Whether you’re more interested in escaping the cold or sipping margaritas on the beach, warm weather destinations are a great option all year long. We’ve rounded up the best sun-soaked destinations to visit this winter where you can still enjoy big savings. Pack a swim suit and some sunglasses because you won’t need your fall boots in these cities!
- Miami, Florida: With endless beaches and sun, Miami offers a variety of warm-weather activities. Stroll through an arts festival, listen to jazz music, or join an Ultimate Frisbee tournament.
- Los Angeles, California: After spending a day in Universal Studios, walk along the boulevard of stars, enjoy some music and food or head to the zoo for a dazzling display of lights. If getting exercise is your thing, join The Great Los Angeles Walk for an all-day trek across the city.
- Honolulu, Oahu: It is easy to spend all your time on the magnificent beaches, but remember to take time to explore the many nature preserves and hikes, including an hour-long hike to the towering Manoa Falls (for TV show buffs, they may recognize the scenery from LOST). If you want to stay in the city, check out the O’ahu Frine Festival, a celebration of different types of dance, theatre and music.
- San Juan, Puerto Rico: Take advantage of the warm weather and take a walking tour through the old city. If you’ve worked up an appetite, try Puerto Rican comfort food at El Jibarito like meat stews and plantain tamales or visit the 100-year old coffee shop for the traditional mallorca pastry.
